I'm sure he took steroids but when he started the league did'nt have a policy against them so as long as the league didn't carewhy should anyone else.

There was a policy in effect in 1991. Baseball tried cracking down in 1973 and in worked in large until mid 80's when they reappeared. A formal policy was entered into but it had no teeth as testing was not allowed. That changed of course in 2004.

Baseball is a game of era's, deadball, free agency, expansion, integration . . . the peds helped, but so did ball change, smaller parks and expansion. It is however a shame that records were broken by people fans have a hard time tolerating. How will people feel if A Rod breaks it . . . .

Steroids should be mandatory in all pro sports! I want to see the biggest, fastest, strongest freaks of nature.
