Absolutely, let him in!
On the fence, still undecided.
Never, he doesn't deserve it!

I would not admit him unless he admits the gambling on baseball and delivers an apology!

Pete Rose was one of the greatest baseball players ever! No PEDs, no HGH, no gun or drug possessions! He did fail to fuss up to betting on games! He shoulda said"I have a problem" and went to a 5 star resort for re-hab.
My Vote:
Absolutely, let him in!

If all these baseball players can make it in the steroid era, then why not. As with all sports there is so much b.s behind the scenes (drugs, gambling, shootings, ect.) that happens frequently. Pete went wrong as Bonds is now, in should of just fessed up.

Absolutely, let him in!

That he was a gambler, unfortunate. But that he was a very productive and talented and hard working ball player - definitely.

Forget the gambling. Look at the career stats. If the Hall of Fame is 'the best of the best', how can Pete Rose be denied. Just another example of what's WRONG with MLB!

Gambling had no effect what-so-ever on his on-the-field play. He was a monster on the diamond. Reward the man for 4,256 hits. This is the biggest joke in baseball. They will admit cheaters to the hall-of-fame (people who actually tried to change the score of the game by cheating, roiders) but wont admit someone who did nothing but play hard when he was a player. Everything that happened after playing is a seperate issue. He deserves to be in by stats alone. There are many, many shady people in the hall who are much worse than Pete.

Absolutely, let him in!

That was part of the agreement for punishnent that he would not be allowed in the Hall of Fame. Quit whining everyone - He deserved his sentence and he still got off easy.

From the beginning of base ball in the mid-1800's, it has been written into the rules that gambling by any player, umpire, or participant in any way is strictly forbidden. Pete Rose was caught gambling, and suffered the consequences, being banned from base ball at that point. That has absolutely nothing to do with his accomplishments on the field. He should definitely be in the Hall of Fame. Comparisons to the steroid issues are ridiculous unless you start suggesting that anything done on the field by a steroid user be removed from the record books, and even then it's not the same, Rose's gambling took place after his playing days on the field.

Absolutely, let him in!

How soon we've forgotten the "other" bad sheep in baseball; and some in the Hall of Fame.
