Death Penalty for Marathon Bomber
He got the death penalty. While I am in favor of the death penalty I'd rather he had gotten life. My reasoning is that I don't want any possible declaration that he is a martyr for Muslim Radicalism. Rotting in prison, he would soon enough be forgotten, with no future moment of fame or glory.

Here's My Take: "Wouldn't want my tax dollars being spent on keeping him alive. I truly believe that martyr crap is over blown." MYT

Here's My Take: "Give im the needle, literally!! I wouldn't want him used as barter in a future "prisoner for hostages" swap!!....They got 5 for 1, the one being Bergdahl, .....gee thanks!!" MYT

Here's My Take: "Can't see where he could ever be a bargaining chip. He s more valuable as a martyr when he put the needle in.
On the other hand it will most likely be 10 to 15 years before tat happens, per normal pattern, and he might not be a relevant then.
I rather see him in a cell with a pet pig or two getting older and being forgotten." MYT

Here's My Take: "Some A. H. lawyer will delay, it and delay it and finally the bleeding hearts in Mass. will commute the sentence to life. I say one appeal and the needle. Maybe a dull hunting knife and lop off his head the way his buddies in the middle east do it.." MYT

Here's My Take: "Was that a state or federal case. If it was the feds, bleeding hearts have nothing to say about, at least in regard to the sentence being carried out in Mass." MYT

Here's My Take: "A good portion of his life will be spent in prison - expect it to be years before the sentence would ever be carried out. So maybe best of both worlds - long time rotting in prison, then the needle." MYT

Here's My Take: "Nah..The rest of his life, he'd be a pain in the ass!!.... special diet, prayer rugs, special religious services (since he wouldn't be in general population), Ramadan, fasting dawn to dusk, Bullshit!! ...He's 21, let im start breaking in the 72 Virgins!!" MYT

Here's My Take: "Good thoughts, but I doubt his dedication to the religion is strong enough to last when he gets no attention for it. What will happen is that, if they are still relative when the time comes, the middle east Muslim radicals will make big deal about him being a martyr.

As far as him needing special diet etc .. it is just a matter of where they carried a meal, or an extra visit for an Imam, already visiting. There are many Muslims in prison now. Who cares what he does with is time, and there aren't a whole lot of holidays in jail.
I'd rather he was in the general population being one of the virgins though." MYT

Here's My Take: "They say 10 to 15 years is likely. That would be fine with me in his case, thought it is far to long as an average. 5 years should be an outside number to work these cases." MYT
